BENGALURU: The scorching heat is already haunting Bengaluru residents and, on the other hand, BMTC buses are breaking down frequently on one or other routes. Every day, buses are stopping on the road due to various technical reasons, causing inconvenience to passengers and commuters.

The breakdowns are adding to the existing traffic congestion, making it unbearable for vehicle users. The Bengaluru traffic police have taken to social media to request bus users to report breakdowns by sharing photos of stranded buses.

About six buses, including electric buses, broke down last Friday alone, raising concerns about their maintenance. However, the transport utility seems to be taking the frequent breakdowns of BMTC buses casually.
