MANDYA: A 55-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl child at a village in Srirangapatna taluk under KRS police limits. The arrested was identified as Shivanna.
The accused took his neighbour’s child who was playing outside to his house and allegedly disrobed her. Hearing her screams, other neighbours rushed to the house and broke open the door.
On hearing people at his door, Shivanna escaped from the rear door. However, the police later arrested him and booked a case under the POCSO Act.
