BALLARI: The district has recorded a Covid-19 fatality in a 50-year-old woman who had comorbidities. The woman died a week after testing positive for coronavirus.
On Tuesday, the district recorded six new Covid-19 cases — five in Ballari and one in Sandur. With this the case load has rised to 34 in the district.
So far, Ballari has 21 active cases, Kampli one, Sandur nine and three in Siruguppa. The district health officials are planning to increase testing as there are hundreds of industries and being a border district, there is fear of infection virus spread from other neighbouring states.
