5 staffers of educational institution and trust siphon off Rs 4 crore, 2 arrested

BENGALURU: Five staffers of a private school in Electronics City have been booked by the CCB police for allegedly misusing school and trust funds to the tune of Rs 4 crore.

The accused Sagar, Murali, Manoj, Mohan and Kishore, who worked as accountants and transport in-charge, are accused of siphoning off Rs 4 crore from the school and trust between 2026. The money, collected as student fees, was allegedly used for personal gain.

The school’s director had filed a complaint, leading to the registration of an FIR. Sagar and Manoj have been arrested and are being questioned by the CCB police, who are searching for the other accused.
