BENGALURU: A 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree after a quarrel with his wife on Sunday night near Papareddy Palya Circle.
The deceased has been identified as Madeva, who hailed from Channapatna. It is said that he wandered without work and drank liquor every day and fought with his wife at home. On Sunday morning, Madeva fought with his wife for not giving him Rs 150 to drink liquor. The wife informed the police who they came to their house and advised him. He then went straight to Papareddy Palya Circle, where he hanged himself from a tree.
The incident was reported to the police by locals. A case has been registered at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination at Victoria Hospital.
