4-year-old girl among three dead in two accidents in Kollegal taluk

A 16-year-old boy was among two who died in the accident.

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Three people, including a four-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, died in separate accidents in Kollegal taluk on Wednesday.

Two people died when a goods autorickshaw carrying boxes of tomatoes, rammed into a parked lorry from behind near the Ele Pillari temple between Kollegal and Yelandur. The deceased were identified as Sumath (22) and Nitin Kumar (16) of Ummattur village. The boxes of tomatoes were strewn on the road due to the impact.

In another accident, four-year-old Harshita died while her parents Nanjundaswamy and Kavya sustained injuries after their motorcycle crashed into a parked tractor near Chilakawadi in Kollegal taluk on Wednesday.

The family, hailing from Gundegala village, was on its way to Mysuru when the accident occurred. A seriously injured Harshita died while being taken to hospital. The Mamballi police visited both the accident sites and registered a separate cases.
