GADAG: A four-year-old boy sustained serious injuries on the head and back after he was attacked by stray dogs at Myageri Oni in Lakshmeshwar town on Saturday. The injured was indentified as Manoj.
The boy was playing outside his house when he was attacked by dogs. He was administered preliminary treatment at the government hospital in Lakshmeshwar and later shifted to the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Kalaburagi.
Local residents have vented their anger against the municipal corporation officials over the increasing stray dog menace and have demanded steps to curb such attacks.
