BENGALURU: At least 35 students, including tiny tots, sustained injuries after a school bus overturned after it brushed against another vehicle which was overtaking it, at Peacock Layout in Madavara near the NICE road on Tuesday morning. The injured children were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 8 am when the bus were ferrying schoolchildren to school. Parents blamed the recklessness of the drivers for the accident. While there were 35 children in one of the school buses, there were about 30 children in the other bus which also belongs to the same school.
The schoolchildren managed to come out of the bus and some locals, who were out on morning walks, gave them water. Some people from a driving school, who were training their wards, also rushed to the aid of the children. The Madanayakanahalli police visited the spot.
