CHIKKABALLAPUR: The Chelur police rescued 31 buffaloes, which were being transported illegally to the slaughterhouse. The police have arrested Babavali, Sameer Pasha, Hussain Sab and Badul Shah and also seized a goods vehicle in which the buffaloes were being transported.
The buffaloes were transported in two Bolero pick-up vehicles. The police stopped the vehicles near Palyakere in Chelur taluk for checks when they found that the buffaloes were being transported illegally from Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district to Tamil Nadu.
