CHIKKABALLAPUR: In a suspected suicide pact, three members of a family died by coming under a train near Thondebavi railway station. On Wednesday, when the police were searching the house of deceased family they came across a suicide note which said no one is to blame for their deaths.
A couple of days back, the police found dismembered bodies of three unidentified persons on the railway track near Thondebavi railway station near Gowribidanur taluk. Later, Yeshwantpur police inspector Shivakumar visited the spot and it was suspected that the three may have committed suicide by jumping out a running train. The police managed to identify the bodies from a Gowribidanur tailor’s label on the deceased man’s shirt.
The deceased are Mylarappa, his wife Pushpalatha and their elder daughter Mamatha, all residents of Gouribidanur. The incident came to light when their younger daughter Dakshayini came to the house to check her on parents who had not received her phone calls for two consecutive days. She later identified the bodies of her parents and sister.
The two days after the incident, the police have found a death note in the house, but there was no clarity on the motive for the suicide. The suicide note is unclear and only mentions some random and vague issues. Police suspect that they may have ended their lives due to guilt over some matter.
In the death note, it was mentioned that, “I haven’t done anything wrong. Probe should be conducted on those two. He can investigate separately, I can investigate separately. We got cheated over phone. We know that their pipe is filled with bricks. Plastic rice is being supplied only to our house and it is 100 per cent true. It is the plan of the person who is standing at the gate. I was terminated by the company because of his master plan. In fact, the investigation also a fraud”.
The deceased mentioned the name one Kantharaju at the end of the death note. In another page, signed by Pushpalata, it was mentioned that no one is responsible for their deaths. Police suspect that that they may have been driven into depression, but said they are investigating the case from all angles.
Vijaykumar, a neighour of Mylarappa said, “They didn’t face any difficulty or financial problem as I know of. He had educated both his two daughters and was running a bakery business since 25 years. He was a hard worker and had married off both his daughters. They had even planned to extend their house and were preparing for it, but I don’t know why they suddenly took such a decision”.
