SHIVAMOGGA: Three people, including a child, died on the spot after a car crashed into a KSRTC bus near Bharatipura Cross in Tirthahalli taluk in the wee hours on Wednesday.
The deceased are Riaz Ahmed, Fathima, and a child. Three others in the car are seriously injured. The Maruti Swift cab, carrying six people, was heading from Chennagiri to Sringeri, while the KSRTC bus was travelling from Mangaluru to Raichur when the accident occurred.
The car’s front is badly damaged, and the bus also suffered damage. All bus passengers are safe and the injured are being treated at Tirthahalli taluk hospital. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital morgue. Police are investigating further.
