CHITRADURGA: In a ghastly accident, three people died on the spot when the car they were travelling in hit a road divider near the Tourist Guest House in the district on Tuesday. Two others who were injured were shifted to a hospital.
The deceased were identified as Harish (25), Sachin (25) from Medehalli village in Chitradurga taluk, and the driver Manu (21) from Kamasamudra in Challakere taluk.
The incident occurred while they were leaving for their hometown to celebrate the festival. It is alleged that the accident happened due to reckless driving and the driver lost control over the car.
A case has been registered at Chitradurga traffic police station.
