BENGALURU: The Government Railway Police (GRP) have arrested three people from Bihar in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found stuffed in a drum at the Sir M Visvesvaraya Railway Station. The victim has been identified as Tamanna (27) and the arrested are Kamal, Tanveer and Shaqib.

Tamanna had left her first husband and had married Inteqam. However, Inteqam and his brothers had differences over this. On March 12, the accused had invited the two home for dinner in Kalasipalya. After dinner, an argument broke out between them again and the accused strangulated Tamanna with her veil.

Tamanna was murdered and her body dumped in a plastic drum.

They then stuffed her body in a plastic drum and tried to put it on a train to Bihar, but abandoned it at the railway station in Baiyappanahalli and fled. They were tracked down with the help of the autorickshaw registration number in which they had arrived at the railway station with the drum. The accused were caught on CCTV camera taking out the drum from the autorickshaw, police sources said.
