KOLAR: Three people have been arrested by Gownipalli police for allegedly killing a man over a dispute about dumping garbage near a mutton shop.
The victim, Shaj Khan (60), was hacked to death with a machete on the March 6 in Gownipalli village of Srinivasa Pur taluk. The accused Wasim, Shauqib and Babu had a dispute with Shaj Khan’s family over dumping garbage near their mutton shop.
The police said the accused attacked Shaj Khan and his son Shahbuddin, who tried to intervene, with a machete. The three accused were on the run, but were eventually arrested by the Gownipalli police. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
