BENGALURU: Twenty-six members of one family have sought permission for mercy killing, alleging that influential people of their village had created fake documents and to take over their ancestral property. They have even written to to the taluk tahsildar and President of India in this regard.
The family members are residents of Tadasighatta village in Nelamangala taluk. They alleged that one Govindaraju has forged the signature of one of the family members and created fake documents to acquire their three acres of land. They have urged Nelamangala Tahsildar Manjunath to ensure justice, and said that they were dependent on the land for their survival. They also sought permission for mercy killing.
“Three-and-half acres belonging to our family has been acquired by Govindaraju by creating fake documents. We are a family of 26 members and we have given complaints about the same, but the authorities have not responded. If we do not get justice, we have appealed for mercy killing, as we are dependent on the land for our survival. We have written a petition for mercy killing”, said Devaraj.
“Our land has been acquired by forging and creating fake documents. We demand justice and have already appealed for mercy killing in the tahsildar’s office. No one has responded to our request until now. It has been difficult to survive and provide education to all the children”, said Vasantha Kumari.
