CHIKKABALLAPUR: A 24-year-old married woman allegedly ran away with 54-year-old man at Kadashigenahalli village in Chikkaballapur taluk. The woman, who was keen to have children, is believed to have escaped with the priest.
Lalitha, the woman, and priest of Ganagamma temple Muniraju are residents of Kadashigenahalli village in Chikkaballapur taluk. The case took a curious turn when, after a month of their disappearance, clothes, footwear and a mobile phone were found on the banks of the Amani Gopalakrishna lake near Bannikuppe village.
This has raised questions about the missing case of Lalitha and Muniraju on whether they committed suicide or are trying to mislead the police. A search is under way for bodies in the lake.
A missing complaint was filed at the Chikkaballapur women’s police station.
