20 passengers injured after KSRTC bus jumps median near Bidadi

It is suspected that the driver had dozed off behind the wheel.

BENGALURU: About 20 passengers were injured after a KSRTC sleeper coach bus jumped the median and hit the restraining wall on the other side of the road near Bidadi early on Thursday morning.

The bus was coming to Bengaluru from Kozhikode and most of the passengers were from Kerala. Luckily, there were no vehicles coming from the other side when the incident occurred.

It is suspected that the driver had dozed off behind the wheel. All the injured passengers were to the Bharat Kempanna hospital in Bidadi. The Bidadi traffic police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
