BENGALURU: A two-year-old boy cheated death after a coconut fell on his head from a height of 20 feet, leaving him unconscious and almost paralysed on one side.
The boy was playing outside his house along with two others when a coconut dropped from a tree right on his head. Footage from a CCTV camera shows the boy collapsing while the other children look on. The boy’s mother immediately comes outside and picks up the unconscious boy.
The child was immediately rushed to the Manipal Hospital on Sarjapur Road. He had sustained serious head injuries and had lost movement of the limbs on one side. The doctors at the hospital operated on the boy for 48 hours and were able to save him, snatching him from the jaws of death.
The boy is now well on the road to recovery, much to the relief of the parents.
