2.4 kg of gold worth Rs 1.7 cr seized from three passengers at Bengaluru airport

BENGALURU: Customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) have seized 2.44 kg of gold worth Rs 1.71 crore from three passengers who arrived from Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight.

The passengers were wearing the gold bangles coated in silver to evade detection. However, they were caught during checking.

Two of the passengers were identified as Abhishek Jain and Renu Jain. The Customs officials have taken all three passengers into custody.
