YADGIR: Nineteen students of the BCM hostel at Gurmitkal town fell ill after having dinner at the hostel mess. It is said that they had consumed chicken for dinner on Wednesday night.
The students, who are currently undergoing treatment at the Gurmitkal Community Health Centre, are reported to be in stable condition. District Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar visited the hospital to enquire about the health of the students.
The incident has sparked concern among parents and the authorities, who are investigating the cause of the food poisoning.
