TUMAKURU: Eighteen couples who had filed for divorce at the Tumkur District Family Court were reunited and resolved their disputes with the intervention of judges at the National Lok Adalat programme.
Numerous cases of domestic disputes and conflicts between couples had been pending in the Family court. These cases were heard and resolved by the district and sessions court Judge B Jayanth Kumar.
The applications were received seeking divorce from various courts across the district, including two in Madhugiri, one each in Pavagada, Tiptur, the District Legal Services Authority office and 13 in the family court. In all, 18 couples reunited after the counselling session.
