KARWAR: More than 17 passengers were injured, with two in critical condition, after a KSRTC bus that was ferrying passengers from Sirsi to Belagavi crashed into a tree near Kannigeri in Yellapur taluk, Uttara Kannada district, on Tuesday.
The bus was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control, causing the accident. The injured passengers were rushed to the government hospital in Yellapur, while the two critically injured were shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for further treatment.
A case has been registered at the Yellapur police station and further investigation is under way.
