RAICHUR: A 16-year old Class 10 student died by suicide in a lake built for Ganesha immersion in Sindhanur taluk. The deceased has been identified as Sarika (16).
The reason for the suicide is not yet known, though she had left behind a four-page note. The student had left her school bag at school. Later, it was found that she had jumped into the lake and died.
In the note, she wrote about the good times she spent with her friends. She apologised for her death and asked her friends to be present for the last rites.
The incident occurred at Sindhanur Town police station limits.
