DAVANAGERE: A 16-year-old boy, hailing from Chikkanahalli in Davangere, took his own life by jumping in front of a train near the railway bridge at the onion market in Davangere city.
Tarun, who had failed his SSLC exams, was scolded by his parents for not looking for a job and staying at home. They had advised him to find work instead of hanging out with friends and going astray. Overwearing their words, Tarun left home and his family searched for him throughout the night.
His body was found on Thursday morning, with his head and body severed, near the railway track. The Railway Police visited the scene, and a case has been registered at the Davangere railway police station.
