121 flights affected at Bengaluru airport on 9th day of IndiGo chaos

BENGALURU: IndiGo flight cancellations continued for the ninth day at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport with 121 flights cancelled on Tuesday, which included 58 arriving and 63 departing from Bengaluru.

The cancelled flights include Delhi flight at 9.15 am, Chennai at 9.25 am, Prayagraj flight at 9.30 am, Nagpur at 10.40 am, Delhi at 11.45 am, Kolkata at 11.50 am, Pune flight at 12.15 pm, Mangaluru flight at 12.40 pm and Jaisalmer flight at 1.05 pm.

Passengers received notifications about the cancellations beforehand. IndiGo staff advised passengers not to come to the airport. Meanwhile, DGCA officials visited Kempegowda International Airport to review the situation and actions taken by the airport and IndiGo. Shankesh Mehta, inspected the IndiGo check-in counters and spoke with staff.

Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj attempted to stage a protest against IndiGo, but was detained by police near Bengaluru. The disruptions entered the ninth day on Tuesday, with passengers facing significant inconvenience. The DGCA is investigating the situation, and officials are working to restore normal operations.
