BALLARI: A 12-year-old schoolgirl, who was walking to school, collapsed and died at Kalingeri in Sandur taluk on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Deeksha, a Class 6 student.
Deeksha had set out for school from home as usual, but suddenly collapsed. Her family members immediately rushed her to the government hospital in Sandur, but she died enroute.
The cause of death was not immediately known. The Sandur police have registered a case and taken up investigation.
