DHARWAD, KOLAR: Twelve people were arrested for peddling drugs in separate cases and ganja worth nearly Rs 3 lakh has been seized from them.
In Dharwad, the Vidyagiri police arrested 11 people are recovered 1.398 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh, four mobile phones and other articles from them.
The arrested are Mohammed Ali Irani, Dadapeer Hanchinamani, Parameshwara Revadihal, Babajan Samshi, Abuzar Bagar, Jaffer Irani, Sadiq Irani, Aftab Attar, Salman Kakkar, Mohammed Asif Betageri and Sajjad Syed.
In another case, the Mulbagal police arrested Syed Sultan from near Kalesh Dargah in Manjunatha Colony and seized about 1 kg of ganja from him. Syed is a resident of Indira Colony in Srinivaspur. A case has been registered against him.
