ANEKAL: One person died and more than 20 passengers were seriously injured after a bus overturned and fell into a millet field near Kelamangalam in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.
The deceased has been identified as Yashoda (45). The bus was heading to Bengaluru from Kelamangalam via Anekal and was carrying 45 passengers. Due to overspeeding, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and fell into a field. The bus was completely crushed in the accident.
The incident occurred in Kelamangalam police station limits. The injured passengers were immediately shifted to the government hospital in Kelamangalam for treatment. The police pulled out the bus from the millet field with the help of a crane.
