[VIDEO] Saroj Khan draws a shocking ‘rape’ analogy to defend casting couch, says “it provides livelihood at least”

Where on one side the Telugu film industry has come under the scanner for several casting couch cases courtesy Sri Reddy who stripped down to protest and expose the ugly side. Saroj Khan has shockingly stepped out to speak up in defense. The Bollywood choreographer joined a panel of members on a news channel to debate on the accusations and argued saying, “Can I tell you one thing? This has been going on since the beginning of time. It hasn’t started now. Someone or the other tries to take advantage of every other girl. The government’s people do it too. Then why are you after the film industry? It provides livelihood at least. Does not rape and leave you. It depends on the girl, what she wants to do. If you don’t want to fall into wrong hands, you won’t. If you have art, then why would you sell yourself? Don’t take film industry’s name, it is everything for us.”

While it’s okay to have an opinion. We are outright disappointed by the way Saroj Khan holds the victims responsible for being offered sexual favors by directors, producers. Does she mean one needs to come to terms with these “compromising” situations if he/she wants to earn their livelihood? You can draw your own conclusions after watching this full video below:

Saroj Khan on casting couch: “It provides livelihood at least. Does not rape and leave you”

There are several actors in Bollywood who have spoken up about their casting couch experiences in the past right from Ranveer Singh to Ayushmann Khurrana to Radhika Apte. But this is the first time someone has so casually defended casting couch as if it’s a common way for actors, both men, and women to extend sexual favors in exchange for a role or a big break. Still can’t believe Saroj Khan just said that.
