Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are the legends of India’s cricket team. They have done things that have never been done before and they both have earned ample amount of respect personally and for India as well.
Offlate, Virat’s name was added to the Time’s list of 100 Most Influential People of 2018.
Virat thanked Sachin on his birthday today and wrote on his Twitter handle.
Here is the tweet:

Sachin had praised Virat by writing this:
“The U-19 World Cup in 2008 was very important for India, as it would define the next bunch of youngsters who would go on to represent the nation. That was the first time I watched this young, passionate player lead India. Today Virat Kohli is a household name and a champion in cricket. Even back then, his hunger for runs and consistency was remarkable, something that has become the hallmark of his game.”
It is very clear from Virat and Sachin gestures that both share a good rapport. And we got another proof of the same when Sachin Tendulkar said that he will share a bottle of champagne with Virat Kohli. But there is still some time for that since Tendulkar imposed a condition on that.
Tendulkar said that he will share a bottle of champagne with Kohli when the latter breaks Sachin’s record of most ODI centuries. Tendulkar holds the record of 49 centuries in ODIs and has promised to celebrate with champagne with Virat when he scores 50 centuries in ODIs. As of now, Virat has scored 35 centuries in ODIs.
At the launch of Boria Majumdar’s book ‘Eleven Gods and a Billion Indians’, Tendulkar was asked if he would send 50 bottles of champagne to Kohli if the latter breaks his record.
Sachin replied saying that, “I will go and share a bottle with him if he breaks my record. I won’t send him champagne bottles; I will go there and share it with him.”
