This is big news indeed! Veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to make a directorial debut with the NTR biopic, after acting in 102 films, states a Times Of India report. We bet Balayya fans are thrilled over this news. With the actor taking over the director’s chair, we can’t wait for the shoot to begin. How did this come to be? As per report on TOI, Ravi Teja exited the project owing to creative differences with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Raghavendra Rao was approached next to direct the film, but he declined the offer. That is when Nandamuri reportedly decided to take matters into his own hands and make his directorial debut with this film. “It has always been Balakrishna’s dream to direct a film, and he felt that there could be no better project than this to fulfill his dream,” revealed a source as per the same report. NTR biopic officially launched! It seems that K Raghavendra Rao will overlook the film’s shoot and will stand by Nandamuri Balakrishna at every step. The movie is expected to go on floors this month and everyone is geared up! The NTR biopic will chronicle the life of the iconic actor-politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Nandamuri will not only direct the film, but will essay his father on screen. The first poster featured a leader standing amidst a crowd. The tagline read – a leader for the people, chosen by the people. He was one of the most powerful personalities in cinema and politics.

The film was launched in a grand event at Ramakrishna Studios, Hyderabad. Balakrishna was dressed as Duryodhana for the first shot. All in all it was a grand opening for a film based on an iconic personality.

Earlier reports suggested that Ram Gopal Varma was set to make a film on NTR’s second wife – Lakshmi but after unveiling the first poster, Ram Gopal Varma hasn’t spoken up about the film.
