Meet the reel Kalam and the Gandhis of Upcoming Film The Accidental Prime Minister


Veteran star Anupam Kher has introduced the “complete political family” of The Accidental Prime Minister on the web.

The film, which is based on the life of ex Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in which the super star dons the titular role, posted the image on social platform today.

The picture boasted of Anupam Kher, Divya Seth, Aahana Kumra, Arjun Mathur, and Suzanne Bernert in their respective roles. Aahana Kumra and Arjun Mathur will be seen donning the characters of Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi respectively.

Suzanne will play Sonia Gandhi whilst Divya Seth will be seen as Manmohan Singh’s companion Gursharan Kaur.

Akshaye Khanna (not part of this photograph) will be seen playing the role of Sanjaya Baru, whose book with the similar title is the encouragement of the movie.

“Introducing the entire political cast of The Accidental Prime Minister. The first of its kind motion picture from India. There are so many people behind our passionate effort. But our director Vijay Gutte has really worked hard. Hope you love our labour of love,” Anupam Kher tweeted.

Anupam Kher’s political drama The Accidental Prime Minister will hit theatres on December 21.

About the release date of the movie, well known trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Arriving Christmas 2018. The Accidental Prime Minister, the political drama starring Anupam Kher, to release on December 21, 2018. Co-stars Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert and Aahana Kumra. Directed by Vijay Gutte. Here’s a glimpse from the film.”

Anupam Kher’s forthcoming flick got filmed in the cities of London and New Delhi and the actor stated it was a “great experience” shooting in the serene sites. The actor frequently shares updates from the sets of the political drama.

In recent times, Anupam had shared a picture with his co-star Akshaye Khanna on his Insta handle declaring that the Delhi agenda of his movie had finished.

Anupam wrote, “The Delhi schedule of our film The Accidental Prime Minister comes to an end. It was great to shoot in a city where I learnt so much about acting (National School Of Drama). It has been a learning experience to work with some superb actors from this city. Thank you Delhi.”

Anupam Kher had also introduced us to Arjun Mathur, Aahana Kumra and Divya Seth via his Instagram post.

While shooting in the city of London, a video recording of Anupam Kher dressed as Dr. Manmohan Singh turned viral all over the web.
