Karan Johar reviewed Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu’s October and here’s what he had to say

Shoojit Sircar’s October, which stars Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, is all set to hit the theatres on Friday (April 13). However, some people in the film industry have already seen in the film. One such person is Karan Johar, who is evidently very impressed with the film. The filmmaker took to Twitter to post a small review of the film. “Absolutely beautiful,” is what Karan called October as he felt that he was there with the “characters and feeling their every beat and emotion” In another tweet, he called this film Varun’s “best work yet.” We were already desperately waiting for October to release and now, with this review by Karan, our excitement is on another level altogether.

It was Karan, who introduced Varun to the movies, in 2012. Not only Varun, but Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, too, made their Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year. Recently, we met Varun and asked him to decode the difference between a Karan Johar film and a Shoojit Sircar film. Varun made an interesting point as he said, “They are very different, yet excellent, in their own place. Dada (Shoojit) draws a lot from real life, which lot of filmmakers do, but his are incidents your usual filmmakers will not want to make a film on. He (Shoojit) chases that subject only, and he will go on to make something on a subject which others will feel ‘this is not something to make a film on.’ But Shoojit finds the story in that, which is unbelievable. Let me tell you that Karan is massive fan of his (Shoojit) and he’s really looking forward to watching October. He really told me not to mess up his legacy.”

And going by Karan’s review, it is evident that he is very proud of him. How excited are you for October? Let us know in comments below…
