Janhvi Kapoor, another star child who hails from a family full of superstars is all set to step in Bollywood with Dhadak. Since her mother Sridevi was one of the popular actresses of Bollywood, Janhvi too was brought up in the same background where she saw the world of glamour closely which led her to pursue her career in films. She dreamt of seeing herself on the big screens one day and that day is just a few days away from her now.
Janhvi just like his mother is crazy about her passion for acting and wants to make her mother proud by achieving the same kind of status just like her mother had. A lot has been expected from Janhvi since she has got the genes of her superstar mother. Well, let’s see whether she lives up to our expectations or not.
During her recent media interaction, Janhvi revealed about her obsession and it is very surprising. The 21-year-old said, “I always wanted to see myself on screen. I remember I would watch random movies and was obsessed with ‘Om Shanti Om’. I would enact every scene from the film and force Khushi to be Shah Rukh Khan and I’d be Deepika, doing that typical hand wave.”
She further added, “Even with the film Titanic, Khushi would be Jack and I’d be Rose, and we would say those lines to each other, ‘I’d never let go!’”
Janhvi has spent her entire childhood in the company of Bollywood superstars like Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, half-brother Arjun Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor.
All these actors under one roof, it would be unlikely to not develop a penchant for their profession.
Janhvi said, “Even in real life, we are dramatic and filmy. Everything is life and death, the stakes are always high. The most filmy person in our family is my father. He is the most dramatic, about anything and everything. Our lives revolve around cinema, its all movies.”
Janhvi revealed, “I wanted to explore other avenues. I wanted to know if I’m inclined to this just because it’s been in my house while growing up or is it really something I can dedicate myself to. So, I decided to take up an acting course, an art history course and a fashion course. I started with the acting course and I remember, it’s like, once you live an honest moment in front of an audience, it’s euphoric. It’s an irreplaceable feeling.”
