While Salman Khan gets busy with Bigg Boss 12, his film Bharat continues to get bigger cast-wise. Mumbai Mirror has reported that Jackie Shroff has been roped in to play the actor’s father in Bharat. Last time, they worked together was in Veer which had released in 2010. Speaking to the daily, the director said, “We met Jaggu dada in London and discussed dates and looks. I have wanted to work with him for a long time as I feel he is the perfect amalgamation of a star and an actor. I was glad when he agreed to do the film in just 20 minutes of the narration.” The film recently completed the Malta schedule. Next, they will be headed to Abu Dhabi for two weeks where some stunt and romantic scenes will be canned. They will also shoot in Delhi and Punjab.
The teaser for the film was released a few days back by Salman Khan. It set the tune just right for the father-son story. It is a remake of Korean film An Ode To My Father. Speaking about it, Ali had said, “The idea is to create an Indian-Russian circus-like Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker. Performers from all over the world are flying down for the circus tricks that will be a mix of trapeze hoops and rope stunts. This is Salman and Disha’s introduction in the movie. He plays a daredevil stunt motorcyclist while she’s a trapeze artist.”
