BELAGAVI: A moving truck caught fire due to a short-circuit in the wiring, on the Pune-Bengaluru highway near Ambadagatti in Kittur taluk early today.
The driver’s cabin of truck was completely charred due to the fire. The Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and douse the fire.
Traffic was diverted through the service road for some time and the firemen doused the blaze. The incident occurred in Kittur police limits and a case has been registered.
