CDR Scam: Kangana gets in trouble for sharing Hrithik’s number with lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui; sister Rangoli lashes out!

The CDR scam involving popular celebrity lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui is getting murkier by the day. The lawyer has been under police custody ever since it was alleged that he had illegally procured Call Data Records (CDRs) of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife. However, the police’s investigation has not stopped at just that. They believe that Rizwan has been adopting illegal means to procure call detail records to help his celebrity clients win court cases. And looks this has landed Kangana Ranaut into trouble.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Thane (Crime), Abhishek Trimukhe revealed to News18 that Kangana, who was fighting a case against Hrithik Roshan, had shared the actor’s mobile number with Rizwan. The police don’t know the exact reason why she shared his number with Rizwan, but because the lawyer has been embroiled in a case of procuring illegal CDRs, they are investigating this angle too. Talking to ANI, DCP Trimukhe revealed, “Investigation has revealed that Kangana Ranaut had shared Hrithik Roshan’s mobile number with the accused Rizwan Siddiqui in 2016, a reason for that is not known yet, the probe is on.” He further added to News18, “We have written to the nodal officer of the concerned mobile operator to gather more details, on this.

But looks like this has not gone down well with Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel. The actress’ sister lashed out at the police officer on Twitter, when she tweeted, “When we respond to a notice, we give all details to the lawyer. To assume that these details were used to violate the law and make statements based on that assumption, and defame an artist is super lame @abtrimukhe. A full investigation should be carried out before making assumptions.” Apart from Kangana, Jackie Shroff’s wife – Ayesha Shroff will be summoned to the police station too, after her name cropped up in the CDR scam. What will happen next? Well to know that and more, stay tuned to BollywoodLife as we get you all the dope and updates about the CDR case right here.
