102 Not Out is an upcoming Bollywood film that has caught everyone’s attention. The movie was introduced to the audience last year with a still featuring the lead cast – The iconic Amitabh Bachchan and the incredibly talented Rishi Kapoor in unrecognizable avatars. Turns out, they are playing a unique father-son duo! After the first poster, it was hard to keep calm knowing Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are reuniting after 27 years. To top it all, they are going to be playing unusual characters. To keep the weirdness alive, the makers have released a quirky new still. The tagline reads – Baap Cool, Beta Old school. Amitabh Bachchan is seen laughing over something while Rishi Kapoor is seen coming out of a cracked egg looking not-so-amused. This poster sure has ‘cracked’ us up.
The tagline could be referring to the story the teaser gave a glimpse of. It seems that Amitabh Bachchan will be the first father who will be sending his son to an old age home! While Amitabh Bachchan at 102 is still in love with life and is his spirited self, Rishi Kapoor seems to be more pensive and cynical between the two. They complement each other perfectly. It’s the kind of love story we are looking forward to this Summer. The movie will be releasing this May on 4th. The film is directed by Umesh Shukla and is written by Soumya Joshi. Here’s what the director had to say about the film while speaking with Mumbai Mirror – “Amitji and Rishiji are collaborating after 26 years. They are playing Gujarati characters for the first time. Being a Gujarati myself, I had certain references in my mind which we used to create their look.
How did you like the brand new still of 102 Not Out? It gets weirder and better with every poster right? We can’t wait for this comedy-drama to unfold in May.
